I wrote the following, titled: Asana practice music
Thank you for the article. I find that music that allows the subtle process of linking mind with breath with body is subtle spacious music. Music by Deuter and the Cymbal Reflections CDs work, I also enjoy the authors choice of Music for Yoga and other Joys. I feel that too much of a beat prevents one from finding/feeling/listening to their own inner pulse during asana practice and meditation. peace to you, David Schanaker

The guitar sample mix is now on the guitar page of the music site, you can hear what I am up to as I am recording at Blue Skies Studio. Enjoy, David

The guitar album has finally gotten underway. The process will take time and I will put up some of the works in process as it comes together. At the moment we are working on deciding which of the 40 or so pieces will be fully developed for the Sanctum album. Here are a few samples of sketches that are being considered. **** samples added to guitar page** Enjoy, David

music blog

September 15, 2010

Here is the new music blog for the Music Healers site, welcome.
I’ll insert a guitar sketch that came on in the treatment room today and inspired the patient I was treating to remark to me that they felt it went right into their heart in a warm healing sort of way. I did record it during a heartfelt time while on retreat, but it was just a 1 take sketch and my first attempt to record digitally, direct into the laptop. So, all the warm glowing vacuum tubes etc that I ascribe so much of my guitar sound to were completely bypassed. It is very rough, enjoy.
Sketch ****removed and included sample on guitar page.
stay tuned for finished works and… please check out the Cymbal Reflections recordings on the web site they are ready now to download.

Peace to you, David
